KorArd Code of Ethics (Body)

I. Overview

KorArd Construction Industry and Trade Co. Ltd. will always conduct its business honestly and ethically where ever we operate in the world. We will constantly improve the quality of our services, products and operations and we will create a reputation for honesty, fairness, respect, integrity, responsibility and trust.

KorArd is committed to competing solely on a merit of our products and services. No bribes, kickbacks or other similar remuneration or consideration shall be given to any person or organization in order to attract or influence business activity.

Business courtesies include gifts, gratuities, meals, refreshments, entertainment or other benefits from persons or companies with whom KorArd does or may do business. We will neither give nor accept business courtesies that constitute, or could reasonably be perceived as constituting, unfair business inducements that would violate law, regulation or policies of KorArd or customers, or would cause embarrassment or reflect negatively on KorArd’s reputation.

II. Confidentiality

KorArd committed to maintaining the highest degree of integrity in all our dealings with potential, current and past clients, both in terms of normal commercial confidentiality, and the protection of all personal information received in the course of providing the business services concerned. We extend the same standards to all our customers, suppliers and associates.

III. Quality Assurance

KorArd maintains the quality of what we do through constant ongoing review with our clients, of all aims, business activities, outcomes and the cost-effectiveness of every activity. We encourage regular review meetings and provide regular progress reports.

I. Obligations to the Public

Representation of Qualifications and Availability: We will only accept assignments for which we are qualified by our capabilities, professional experience and technical competence, and we will assign staff to projects in accordance with their qualifications and commensurate with the services to be provided, and we will only make representations concerning our qualifications and availability that are truthful and accurate.

Legal Compliance: We will not discriminate in the performance of our services on the basis of race, religion, national origin, age, disability, gender, or sexual orientation. We will not knowingly violate any law, statute, or regulation in the performance of our professional services.

Fair Competition: We will represent our project experience accurately to our prospective Clients and offer services and staff that we are capable of delivering. We will develop our professional reputation on the basis of our direct experience and service provided, and we will only engage in fair competition for assignments.

Public Contracts: We will not offer nor make any payment or gift to a public official with the intent of influencing the official’s judgement in connection with an existing or prospective project.

Safety: We will take an active role in developing a culture of safety, consistent with the related Policy Statements on the regulations of the Health and Safety Management.

II. Obligations to the Client

Client Service: We will serve our Clients with honesty, integrity, candor, and objectivity. We will provide our services with competence, using reasonable care, skill, and diligence consistent with the interests of our Client and the applicable standard of care.

Conflicts of Interest: We will endeavor to avoid conflicts of interest; and will disclose conflicts that in our opinion may impair our objectivity or integrity.

Fair Compensation: We will negotiate fairly and openly with our Clients in establishing a basis for compensation, and we will charge fees and expenses that are reasonable and commensurate with the services to be provided and the responsibilities and risks to be assumed.

Release of Information: We will only make statements that are truthful, and we will keep information and records confidential when appropriate and protect the proprietary interests of our Clients and the concerned Parties.

III. Obligations to the Profession

Industry Standards: We will furnish our services in a manner consistent with the established and accepted related Standards of Practice, which define the parameters for the whole management, and the laws and regulations that govern its practice.

Honesty: We will not make misleading, deceptive, or false statements or claims about our professional qualifications, experience, or performance, and shall accurately state the scope and nature of our responsibilities in connection with work for which we are claiming credit. In our business, we will not engage in bribery, fraud, or corruption in all professional services to help customers plan, design, implement, manage, and construct project activities in which we are engaged. We will be especially vigilant to maintain appropriate ethical behavior even where payments of gratuities or bribes are institutionalized practices.

Professional Development: We will continue to develop our professional knowledge and competency as the Contractor, and we will contribute to the advancement of the construction and program management practice as a company by fostering research and training. We will recognize and fulfill our obligation to nurture professionals as they progress through all stages of their career, beginning with professional education and continuing throughout their career.

Integrity of the Profession: We will avoid actions that promote self-interest at the expense of the profession, and we will uphold the standards of the construction project management with honor and dignity.

IV. Obligations to the Environment

Sustainability: We will conduct ourselves and encourage others in keeping with environmental and sustainable business practices, providing for the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations.
